ADVANTAGES OF MICROFIBER
Microfiber provides an environmentally preferred way to clean, as it reduces the amount of chemicals used, decreases the amount of water, and eliminates heavy mops and mop buckets.
REDUCTION IN CHEMICAL USAGE:
Microfiber delivers great savings and improved air quality
REDUCTION IN WATER USAGE:
In many applications, there is very little or no water needed.
REDUCTION IN ENERGY USAGE:
Microfiber dries in a fraction of the time compared to cotton, and prefers to be dried on a low heat setting or hung dry.
REDUCTION IN WASTE:
MIMA's high quality microfiber is extremely durable, and can be washed up to 500 times.
REDUCTION IN CROSS-CONTAMINATION:
Microfiber mopping virturally eliminates cross contamination. By its nature, microfiber picks up and holds onto bacteria. Mop heads can be color-banded for a visual alert to reduce cross-contamination.
MICROFIBER IS ...
Microfiber is a high-tech blend of polyester and polymide (nylon) that makes for superior cleaning capabilities. The fibers are 100 times thinner than a human hair. Its absorbing power is quicker than normal cotton as it absorbs water as well as lifting and trapping dust, dirt, and grime.
MEASURING WITH DENIER
Microfiber is based on the size of a fiber measuring 1.0 denier (the diameter or fineness of a continuous or filament fiber).
The lower the denier number, the finer the fiber ... the finer the fiber, the higher the quality.
MIMA microfiber consists of .2 denier or better, and is made only with a blend of 70% polyester/30% polyamide (100% m/f). You'll notice the difference this quality makes in efficacy and absorbency.
